A Tree Species That Arrived By Itself

A short video describing an interesting new arrival on Puangiangi. This is a companion piece to our recent videos about the forest and how we are letting it restore itself rather than doing a whole lot of planting.

  1. Great to see the diversity bedding in. Would love a herpetological update when spring rolls around.

    1. Cheers James. A bit quiet on new lizard news so far. We have still not detected any forest gecko or green gecko and they must be translocation candidates now. Striped gecko and Duvaucels gecko are presumed to be doing well. Common gecko are super-abundant. The three skink species are also doing well, even a bit active in midwinter.
